Brian, you're a difficult person to locate
sometimes so I apologise for addressing you
in some of your recent NGs.

Recently, over in uk.radio.amateur you said that
the fundamental law of electromagnetics, the Law
of Biot and Savart, was derived from Laplace's
Equation which seems to be concerned with
electrostatic potential.

This did not seem at all correct to me, so I
challenged you to either admit your mistake or
else to cite an authoritive URL to support what
you claim, but your repeated response has been to
resort again and again to offensive personal remarks.

In the interests of your own reputation, and that of
the Radio Society of Great Britain upon whose technical
committee you are a member, would you please either retract
decently or provide authority for your assertion
but with the complete absence of gratuitous abuse?

Oh dear. I suggest you look how Biot and Savart law can be derived from
integrating Laplace's equation over an infinitely long wire.

The only reputation damaged here is yours.

One wonders what you are trying to prove here, certainly not your
academic standing.

Oh dear. sounds like the argument between Bernoullis theory of aircraft
wing lift and Newtonian anlysis of momentum change being 'how wings
REALLY work'.

Interested by the argument, I thought about it, and realised that in
fact the one is the transform of the other. Each is derivable from te
other and people who really know their stuff realise iits a non conflict.

But people with a little knowledge are find of parading it, arent they?

THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE STICK AND I HAVE JUST FOUND IT as my retriever
used to say.

about their freedom, about the relationship between the individual and

a matter of elementary environmental protection, or a search for
rational mechanisms designed to achieve a healthy environment. Yet
things do occur that make you shake your head and remind yourself that
you live neither in Joseph Stalin’s Communist era, nor in the Orwellian
utopia of 1984.”

In the interests of your own reputation, and that of
the Radio Society of Great Britain upon whose technical
committee you are a member, would you please either retract
decently or provide authority for your assertion
but with the complete absence of gratuitous abuse?
The only reputation damaged here is yours.

One wonders what you are trying to prove here, certainly not your

Equation which seems to be concerned with
electrostatic potential.
This did not seem at all correct to me, so I
challenged you to either admit your mistake or
else to cite an authoritive URL to support what
you claim, but your repeated response has been to
resort again and again to offensive personal remarks.
In the interests of your own reputation, and that of
the Radio Society of Great Britain upon whose technical
committee you are a member, would you please either retract
decently or provide authority for your assertion
but with the complete absence of gratuitous abuse?

Brian, you're a difficult person to locate
sometimes so I apologise for addressing you
in some of your recent NGs.
Recently, over in uk.radio.amateur you said that
the fundamental law of electromagnetics, the Law
of Biot and Savart, was derived from Laplace's
Equation which seems to be concerned with
electrostatic potential.
This did not seem at all correct to me, so I
challenged you to either admit your mistake or

It is best to ignore him.

Basically, he can't stand being corrected. He has more holes in his
technical knowledge than a string vest. Try to help him and he responds
with abuse. He's ended up in court at least once after contacting my
school.

Remarkable Coincidences:
The Stock Market Crashes of 1929 and 2008 happened on the same
date in October. In Oct 1907, a run on the Knickerbocker Trust
Company led to the Great Depression.

Brian, M3OSN, Old Chum, this thread has come about because YOU did not
like being corrected on your statements about the Law of Biot & Savart
and because YOU became abusive, repeatedly so.

Your whole paragraph above continues to be abusive and is riddled
with untruths.

Why do you behave like that?

Yes there is if you do it in three groups where it is totally off topic.
And where it is quite certain that no-one but you has any interest in
this "pinning down".
